About the Chief: Rob

Born in Westfield Massachusetts, Rob's first job was cooking at the local, seasonal Summerhouse restaurant. After highschool he took a job cooking for the Sheridan, his first full service restaurant experience. From here Rob left for Florida where he cooked for the Sand Key Resort while attending culinary school.

Upon graduating, Rob returned to New England for a term at the Historic Storrowton Tavern. He soon returned to sunny Florida to accept a position with the famous Beachcomber Restaurant in Clearwater, later going on to assist in opening the upscale Bobby's Bistro.

 Rob then returned to Boston to assist in opening a second restaurant, the Road Trip, and soon became a fixture in the North End's local culinary scene as well as putting time in the culinary offering's of Boston's Museum of Fine Art. Moving on to New Hampshire in 1999, Rob joined the common Man family, initially with the Italian Farmhouse and later achieving Executive Chef for the Common Man's only resort restaurant, Foster's Steakhouse at the Common Man Inn & Spa, in between taking on the task of resurecting the Mountain Club on Loon from slopeside bar fare to dining destination.

 Rob's latest undertaking is as chef at the SixBurner Bistro, opened in the fall of '06, and located in beautiful downtown Plymouth NH, in the heart of the White Mountain Region.
